Old Stuff and New

Here are two triple fishtail bracelets I made a long time ago. One is a triple fishtail and one is a seven layer fishtail:

More recently, I've been drawing things other than monsters (my mom is thrilled):

The other interesting news is that I have a new scar from where I got my hand stuck between the rolling treads of a treadmill and a rubber ball. It was very painful and my hand looked like this the next day:

My Rubberband Bracelets

A little while ago, my mom bought me a Bandaloom, which is Walmart's version of the Rainbow Loom. Once I mastered it and secured some money from Christmas gifts, I went and bought the actual Rainbow Loom (because you can make more advanced bracelets with the Rainbow Loom since the parts can be moved to wherever you need them to go). Here are some of the bracelets I have made from best to worst:

This is a hexafish bracelet.

This is a totem pole bracelet.

This is a triple-link (a.k.a. triple-chain-link) bracelet.

It can be laid flat to make a coaster.

This is a feather bracelet.

This is a delta wing bracelet.

This is a ziagonal bracelet.

This is the x-twister bracelet.

These are starburst bracelets.

This is a liberty-twist bracelet.

This is a double-x bracelet.

This is a zippy chain bracelet.

These are ladder bracelets.

These are my Minecraft bracelets. The first one is Darkness, then Redness, then Whiteness. The second one is a creeper bracelet.

This is a rhombus bracelet (a.k.a. caterpillar bracelet).

This is a fishtail bracelet.

And finally, this is an inverted fishtail bracelet.

My First Art Contest

Last week, my mom took me to the Indianapolis Museum of Art.  They have a special exhibit right now on the artist Matisse.  Plus, they had a special room in the museum where you could enter a drawing contest by drawing on I-Pads with a drawing app, trying to draw like Matisse.  I drew this picture on the I-Pad and called it "Sway:"

If you want to, you can go here to vote for my drawing in the 6 to 12 year old category.  The voting button is just below my picture. Thanks.

Minecraft Stuff for My Halloween Party

I'm having a Halloween party next weekend.  I have chosen a Minecraft theme.  These are the Minecraft masks that I made to hand out to each kid:

And this is a Minecraft game I made to play with bean bags:

For more photos (of the games and refreshments table and treat bags) and a description of how my party went, follow this link to my mother's blog.

Skater Cards

I thought that it would be cool to just make cards about skateboarders. So far, I've made cards for Chris Cole, Rob Dyrdek, Tony Hawk, Nyjah Husten, and Ryan Shekler:

On the back of each card it shows the company they skate for:

I made it so you could play a game with them, too. Each card shows how many points you would get for the different tricks, if you drew the card and then were able to do the trick.

Crayon Melting

I'm surprised my mother allowed me to do this art project.  I took a bunch of crayons and melted them onto paper using a blow dryer.  It turned out pretty cool.

Part of it dried in the air.
